Subject: ARMENIA, HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS
Started from 17th July European Center for Human Rights are monitoring the current situation created in Armenia and also received many letters about human rights violations. According online meetings that we have developed with partners in Armenia the situation of human rights is being threatened a lot.
We confirm that there were many human rights violations against Armenian people during peaceful assemblies in Yerevan (Khorenatsi street, Freedom Squere, Erebuni district, Sari Tagh).
There are many illegal arrests of people (around 350-400). The arrests were with human rights violations.
European Center for Human Rights officially supports of Armenian people peaceful assemblies and call to all European organizations to protect Human Rights in Armenia.
All arrested people must be in freedom. Democracy, human rights and the rule of law must prevail. The freedom of assembly must be fully respected.
