Around the World, people are fighting for human rights, for the freedom of speech and for the ability to organise themselves. And they are fighting for a future free of oppression and poverty, and for the power to change their own lives and influence their country’s development.
Human Rights is not something we can just take for granted; it is something for which we must constantly strive. Consequently, more people are needed who believe in democracy as a tool in the struggle against injustice and poverty, and who are prepared to put their trust in local and national democracy work by supporting practical measures and advocacy.
